[D-Tier got stuck with the bill]
Alex and Morgan were back at Morgan's apartment, Alex on the couch, and Morgan sitting at the inventions table facing Alex.
"So how did the date go?" Alex asked, looking worse than usual.
"I mean, it went alright, but they got up halfway through and left due to 'work things'." Morgan said hurriedly, "It was a bit weird, but that doesn't really matter." Getting to the point, Morgan exclaimed, "You lost a fight?!"
Alex looked away and, in a monotone voice, said, "Ah, you found out about that?"
Morgan, looking and sounding worried, responded, "It was a bit hard not to, like, you were in the news!"
"Ohh, that's embarrassing." Alex said, scratching their chin.
"It was a bit more than embarrassing, like, are you dying?" Morgan, still worried, asked.
Alex hurriedly waved their hands,"No, I'm fine, and you're making a bigger deal of of this than it actually is." trying to reassure Morgan, Alex continues, "Like, they're my nemesis for a reason, after all."
Morgan scrunched their face. "Only technically do they count as your nemesis, like, they still need their whole clubhouse of heroes to stand a chance against you." getting louder, Morgan asked, "How did you lose a 1v1?"
Alex looked at Morgan, wondering if they should answer. Decided, they said, "You know why."
Morgan, exasperated, responded with "If I knew why, I wouldn't be asking you, like, what happened? Was it mind control or..." thinking of something, Morgan paused. "Oh no." Then, they looked at Alex for confirmation.
Alex nodded with a mhm.
Morgan put their hand on their forehead. "I went on a date with your nemesis, and you couldn't, because I said... Opps."
Alex nodded with another mhm. "So how was the date?"
Morgan put down their hands and responded. "It was good, a little bit boring. Uh, I was thinking about going on a second one until just now. So..."
Alex leaned forward happily and asked in an interested tone, "Oh, so you're not going on a second one?"
Morgan looked upset for a moment before responding. "Of course not! I'm not gonna go out with somebody who regularly tries to kill and or imprison my best friend! That's a red flag.
