When Ptolomy initially tried to approach Hellma, the Queen Mother expressed some skepticism, as the girl had yet to learn many of the things required of a royal consort. Thus, she tried to postpone the union for a few years, so as to give Hellma enough time to complete her course.
However Ptolomy was too impatient for his prize and given the tense situation at the time, Seelima too was not eager to oppose him strongly. She would much rather secure her place next to the newly ascended man.
So ultimately she swiftly gave her daughter to appease the man and win his favor.
The unfortunate side effect of that was that the young princess was not that good in bed, and it was a fact that quickly became apparent to Ptolomy when he started to come into contact with other noblewomen.
Those women were all at the very top of their game and as Ptolomy tasted them and soaked in their hospitality, he unfortunately began to lose interest in his old cold love. Hence the unexplored area.
