My eyes flung open with a scream as I frantically sat up and peeled off the sheets on my body. My breathing was erratic and frantic as I looked around the room unsure of where I was.
It took me a second to realize I was in my bedroom. I didn't take time to realize that I wasn't on earth or the bedroom I shared with Suetekh at his palace. It was the bedroom I called my own in my kingdom.
I knew it without anyone having to explain to me. The room dipped in gold and the softest linens told me everything I needed to know. The plants, bowls of fruit and the strong scent of honey and almonds made my taste buds water. The bed I slept on was so gigantic that ten bodies could occupy it without touching.
On each corner of the large rectangle were marble pillars carved with intricate designs and hieroglyphics praising all the great quests I had accomplished. By great quests it was mostly my most intimate stories and I blushed. I didn't seem shy one bit in my past life.
