I was not entirely sure what it was about Hades that caused an uproar but Horus looked about ready to kill Anubis.
I understood Hades was the god of the underworld in Greek mythology. I could have compared him to being a combination of Anubis and Osiris.
The Greek gods were something very influential to ancient Egyptian culture especially once they took over the lands with Alexander the Great. That's where the Egyptian gods stopped being worshiped and they had been defaced with Greek gods.
The gods were only ever strong if the population remembered them and as the older generations died and a new way of life was taught to the newer generations, the power of the Egyptian gods had decreased.
Their power was only brought back when archeologists started to rediscover the lost culture. The gods became a household name very quickly by lost artifacts, tombs, temples and palaces.
