The days go by with my only interaction being when the guards bring me food.
Have to say though, the food is really good.
Been thinking about what information I have picked up. I'm 100 percent sure I'm not in the Pure Lands, some how I am in some other after life.
To combat the boredom I do some stretches and light work out. Trying to see if I can somehow mold chakra. No luck there, but at least I know there is some level of power in this place, and I at least want to learn that.
On day Kirio comes in with Hiyori.
"I have spoken with the Captain Commander, he is going to let you out and send you to the academy, though you will be monitored" says Kirio
"Okay, but what is this academy?" I ask
"Its where souls who have reiatsu go to learn how to become a Shinigami, there you will learn the four major Shinigami combat forms of Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hohō, and Kidō. You are being enrolled in the lowest class. I expect you to not slack off or I will make sure you will wish you were still locked up in here." She says with a smirk on her face.
She turns and looks a Hiyori "Hiyori, please release him and show him to the academy."
She turns and leaves and Hiyori walks to the cell.
"Okay brat follow me." she says
I follow and finally see where I am. Everything is white with orange roofs. There are many people walking around in the same uniform.
I keep looking around taking in what I am seeing, trying to find anything familiar. I notice everyone is wearing a sword.
"Why does everyone carry a sword?" I ask Hiyori
"That is our Zanpakuto, you will be getting your Asauchi when you get to the academy. You will learn more there." she states
Zanpakuto, need to remember that and I will be getting an Asauchi? Wonder why I'm getting that and what does it have to do with Zanpakuto? I wonder
After leaving the building where I was held and then through a courtyard, we leave what looks like a compound. Once out she grabs me and we speed away, next thing I know I'm in front of a large building that would put the Hokage tower to shame.
Hiyori then leads me inside and after climbing 9 flights of stairs she knocks on a door.
I hear a female voice say enter and Hiyori opens the door and leads me in.
If front of me behind a big desk piled high with paper work, which reminds me of the Hokage's desk, I see a stunning woman who looks worn out.
"Here is that special case that Captain Kirio told you about." Hiyori states
"Thanks, you may leave now." the lady behind the desk says
Which Hiyori disappears like she is running from something
"Let me take a look at you" says the lady as she gets up and walks over towards me.
"Hum, hopefully you can make something of this opportunity that Captain Kirio got for you. If it was me who apprehended you, I would have sent you to Squad 2 to be interrogated and then locked up permanently. But Captain Kirio usually see the best in people." she says
I gulp and then say "I won't let her down and prove to you she was right."
"You better." she turns around and picks up a piece of paper from the desk. "Here is your schedule, go down to the first floor and the last door on the left of the left hallway from the entrance."
I take the paper and leave the office. While looking at the schedule on the page, I head downstairs and arrive at the door she mentioned. I knock and hear a male voice say "Enter"
I open the door and see a classroom with around 30 people in it mostly boys but a few girls also. At the front a middle age man is looking at me. I enter and he says "So your the new student who didn't have to take the entrance exam." I instantly felt multiple hostile gazes on me from the students.
"Well introduce yourself a find a seat" the teacher states
"Hi everyone I am Jiraiya the great toad sage of Mount Myoboku" while hitting my pose.
I hear a few chuckles while most people are looking at me like I'm an idiot.
"That's enough, go find a seat" says the teacher.
I walk towards the first open seat I see which is on the right hand side near the window, next to a girl with red-violet hair.
"Okay class now back to the lesson, In what year did the roman empire fall?" asks the teacher
Hearing this question I look at my schedule guessing which class I am currently in..
