There are instances of spectral-type creatures using the Dark Magic Shadow in major competitions, some even forming shadows as tall as one hundred meters. However, seeing it live is a vastly different experience from watching it on TV.
Especially when the Pet Beast employing the Dark Magic Shadow is a spectral-type that's only a few dozen centimeters in size, the contrast is striking.
"The Ghost Ring King has used the Dark Magic Shadow," commentator Tian Yiwang said, observing the scene on the field. "The enlarged Ghost Ring King certainly looks more imposing; I wonder if it learned this technique because it's naturally small."
Tang Xueran chimed in:
"This is the first time in this regional competition that a spectral-type Pet Beast has used the Dark Magic Shadow."
