Erhu leaned forward to pick up the ginseng casually tossed on the ground and said, "Hey, here's a radish, though it's a bit small."
After speaking, Erhu stood up and asked Mrs. Jiang, "Mom, how about making some shredded radish salad later?"
"Sure, I'll make it if you want to eat it, but this afternoon you still have to come with me to the field to pull weeds." Mrs. Jiang walked over, intending to take the 'radish' from Erhu's hands!
Erhu let out a wail.
Nobody noticed Lin Sanshui's eyes growing wide as he bounded over to Erhu and gave his nape a friendly smack, "You fool, what radish, this... this is ginseng!"
Such a large ginseng, Lin Sanshui had never seen one in his life.
A few years back, someone in the village did dig up a ginseng, but compared to the one in his hands now, it was like heaven and earth.
"What? Ginseng?" Erhu exclaimed, looking at the radish snatched away by his own father, "Dad, are you sure? How could our family possibly have ginseng?"
