Ben was astonished by the news he just heard, he double-checked his phone to be sure he was not dreaming or hallucinating. They had just discussed a few days back and he had warned Alex to stop the jokes and tell that girl the truth.
They all knew she valued her mother more than anything. In fact, the only reason she's still in the marriage with Alex is because he's holding her mother captive. Telling her the only thing she has in this life is dead had really broken her.
He exhaled harshly taking a sip of his drink before dialling Lukas's number.
"Alex did it."
"What are you talking about?" Lukas said from the other end.
"He broke the woman finally and now she's dead." He said calmly.
"What?"
Both men rushed down to Alex's mansion almost after the call. They knew this could happen but they didn't think it would be in a very short time. Bothen haven't exchanged words with each other since their arrival, the information had been too heavy to digest.
