"Ah, another day at school. But before going there, I must eat my breakfast first."
Aldo, a 17-year-old boy, lived a pretty average life. He lived with his five other siblings.
After waking up, he sat on his bed for a few minutes. "Sigh… another boring school day. When will the school holidays come?"
After complaining to himself about school, Aldo prepared his bag. He opened it and put all his school belongings inside.
After finishing everything, he took his bag out of the bedroom and went to the kitchen, placing it beside the sofa.
He took a few eggs and a pan, then went to the stove. He cooked the eggs, took a plate, and ate them together with rice.
After eating, he put his plate in the sink. He then went back to his room to wear his school uniform. After that, he took his bag from beside the sofa, went outside, locked the door, and walked to school. His school wasn't far—only a ten-minute walk.
After ten minutes, he arrived at school. He went inside, entered his classroom, placed his bag under his desk, and went to meet his friend.
His friend's name was Frack. They had only known each other for two weeks, but they were already best buddies.
"Hey, Aldo. Oh, I forgot to tell you— a new episode of Demon Slayer just got released. Have you watched it?" Frack asked.
"Oh, that! I watched some spoilers on TikTok. I already love the new episode even though I only saw a bit. I'm planning to watch it tonight," Aldo replied.
They kept talking about Demon Slayer until the bell rang.
"I'll meet you later after school, Frack," Aldo said. They waved at each other and went to their own classes.
Bell rings
It was recess time. Some students went to the canteen, while others stayed in their classrooms. Aldo was one of those who stayed behind to work on his assignments.
Suddenly, a girl came to Aldo's desk. When Aldo saw her, he blushed slightly. Her name was Naesia, and she was Aldo's crush. Seeing her standing there, Aldo froze and stayed silent for a few seconds.
"Heyyo, Aldo. Want to go to the canteen together~?" she asked with a smile.
After hearing her request, Aldo immediately stood up and agreed to walk with her.
They walked to the canteen together, almost like a couple. Aldo felt nervous and excited, but he didn't show it. He acted normal around his crush.
"Shit, what should I talk about in this situation? This… this is a date, right? I mean, she invited me to walk together to the canteen," Aldo thought.
While he was overthinking, Naesia spoke again.
"Hey, are you okay~? Oh, that's right—after I buy my food, let's go to the rooftop, okay~? I need to tell you something. It's embarrassing to say it in front of others, hehe~"
Hearing this, Aldo became even more nervous and excited, though he still tried to act normal.
Naesia bought her food, and together they went to the rooftop without anyone noticing.
They arrived at the rooftop.
"Is she going to confess? Or not? If it is a confession, I'll accept it immediately," Aldo thought, blushing slightly.
Naesia grabbed Aldo's hand and led him to the edge of the rooftop, telling him to enjoy the scenery. He did enjoy it—but for a different reason. His crush was holding his hand. Inside his mind, he was screaming, feeling like the happiest person in the universe.
"So, uh… Naesia, I do enjoy the scenery, but you brought me here. What did you want to tell me?" Aldo asked, trying to confirm his thoughts.
"Oh, about that… please don't be mad about what I'm about to do, alright~?" Naesia replied.
"Ah, no, it's fine—wait, you're going to do something?" Aldo asked, confused.
Before he could react, Naesia suddenly pushed him.
"Please forgive me, alright~? I am—"
He couldn't hear the rest of her sentence.
Everything became chaos.
"Why did she push me? Why? Am I ugly? Am I stupid? Naesia, you— Even after I die, I will take my revenge on you, NAESIA!"
His emotions shattered. His mind slowly broke apart, filled only with rage and hatred. Even at the edge of death, all he could think about was revenge.
Five minutes passed.
Silence.
Aldo could no longer feel his body. All he could see was a blank space. Then, a voice echoed in his mind.
"Hello there, young one. It seems you are one of her victims. I'm impressed—you managed to remain in this spiritual realm after dying. It was all thanks to your rage and hatred."
Hearing the voice, Aldo opened his eyes.
