"You are hitting me?" Anne cried out as she covered her cheek while glaring at the older man who was fuming, with steam coming out of his ears.
The man glared at her and angrily retorted, "How can you be so .... You are an adult and you are still going around causing trouble for me? Did I spoil you so much?"
The man's anger was so vivid that the other people inside the room didn't dare utter a word or breathe but looked nervously at the two.
Anne looked at her father and felt very wronged. The day wasn't a good one at all. It ended so miserably and the humiliation she suffered in just hours was so much she wanted to vent out. And yet her father, instead of being on her side, actually slapped her.
How could he do that?
"Dad, you ….. why are you being harsh on me? Haven't you seen how much I have suffered?" Anne cried out to her father, feeling unreconciled at this unfairness she was facing.
