Third person POV
"Seriously? Do we have to eat these?" Rico asked while being disappointed at the burnt pancakes.
The others were disappointed, too.
"Yes, sorry…just add some condensed milk, okay?" Jonathan replied while laughing nervously and embarrassingly.
Rico then grabbed a metal can of condensed milk, which had 2 holes in it, and started pouring it on the pancakes to sweeten their bitter taste.
Marshall was astonished at his doing. "Is that what you do in this region? Pouring condensed milk from a can?"
"Yeah," Rico replied back while putting the can down and starting to eat the pancakes. "These can be convenient."
And so, while Rico was delighted by the now-sweetened pancakes, Marshall did the same and tasted his pancakes, being delighted as well. Shion did the same, too. Jonathan then made some cups of coffee and hot chocolate with the cups from the hotel.
After that nearly chaotic breakfast, the group went to the surrounding forests outside of town to do some Pokémon training before going to challenge the gym. Jonathan and the others had some fun in the grassy fields, while Shion was training with her Absol, wanting to compete with Rico. Later at 9:01 a.m., while Rico was out exploring the forests nearby, his Absol and Litleo got into a fight because they were disputing who was stronger, pitting against each other.
Then, their dispute led to them asking Staravia who was stronger than one of them.
But Staravia smiled nervously and flew off towards Riolu, Shinx, and Prinplup, and responded with a request to quell Litleo and Absol's dispute.
Marshall saw that and tried to stop the dispute but to no avail.
"Stop this you two!" Marshall responded to them.
But it didn't work, and Litleo and Absol started to use Flamethrower and Dark Pulse on each other.
