Third person POV
"Shion-chan?" Rico responded to this.
Riolu then responded with plain response.
"Yeah, it's me, Rico-kun…" Shion replied back as she looked at Rico seriously, "…you better not run away now…"
"Oh, okay then."
"Who's that?" Marshall responded to this.
"That's Shion Hermedilla," Rico replied back to him. "She is my childhood friend."
"Yup…that's me, ya'll," Shion responded back to Marshall while straightening her back.
"Oh, nice to meet you, Shion-chan," Marshall said to Shion directly. "My name is Marshall Jamie, and this is Luxio, my Pokémon partner."
Luxio then responded with a serious greeting.
Jonathan and the others then said their introductions to Shion.
After that, Shion wanted to come with Rico and his group so she could try to be on par with Rico. Rico and his group then accepted it, even though the former didn't understand what was really going on, more specifically, between him and Shion. All of them then went to that bakery in the city. There the group ate up, and Shion wanted to beat the gym in the city, and Dante accepted it, scheduling the Pokémon battle to be at 11 a.m.
And so, later, when that time came, Shion and Dante had a Pokémon battle. Their Pokémon are Absol and Aron. Despite the small number of her Pokémon, Shion was determined to win this battle with sheer determination. In the end, after a lot of hardships, she managed to go through the rounds and win with a narrow margin of chance and luck, much to the shock of Rico and his group.
Later, after receiving her gym badge, Shion was proud of her achievement and smeared that towards Rico, who humbly congratulated her for her efforts. Shion was upset that her rival was not that envious. Jonathan and the others were confused at this. Then, the group had lunchtime and spent the rest of the day going around the city exploring and browsing the markets. Then, by the next morning and after breakfast, Rico and his group left Bato-Bato City for Libro Island by ferry, with Dante and two of his Pokémon saying goodbye to them. Shion and her Pokémon team are with them.
