"Come on! We're almost there guys!"
Pasley leaps over a giant root that slithers across the ground. As the others follow, they finally enter the Vein Forest.
"Ah, here we are! The miracle of our dusty red planet. This forest is known as Vein Forest due to the massively large roots that slither along the surface around us."
"Huh, I wouldn't have guessed it, Root. Maybe you and this forest have similar features, such as huge egos."
"How so? If you're comparing my name to these roots, and since they're big that would also mean you're comparing my intelligence to them as well. Stating that I am indeed the smartest Saiyan around."
"Riiiiight... So I'll give you till the count of ten to run. After that, you'll be meeting my ego, also known as my fists mister big ego!"
Matoto began counting and suddenly Root began running.
"Nooo!! Don't hit me again! Matoto!!!"
Leaving Pasley and Crimson alone. Pasley continues watching them hop over roots and scream at each other. While Crimson was distracted by her.
"P-Pasley!"
Suddenly her eyes widened and her face blushed as she turned to look at him.
"Y-Yes Crimson?"
"It seems we're alone now... Together..."
"O-Oh it would seem so...Yeah."
Crimson noticed how shy she was, and thought of ways to keep her from feeling nervous.
"W-Would you wanna go walk around?"
"Y-You mean together? By ourselves?"
Crimson reached out his hand to her.
"Come on Pasley (He smiled) let's go."
Pasley's eyes lit up as she looked at him and slowly reached for his hand. The moment she took it she was dragged along as he began running deeper into the forest. Both Crimson and Pasley laughed as they leaped over giant roots and dashing between trees together.
"This is so much fun! Look at me Crimson!"
Pasley did a handstand on a giant root trying to impress Crimson. He smiled and clapped for her, allowing her to fall and run around some more.
"Watch this Pasley!"
Crimson lined himself up with one of the trees and began dashing at it. Instantly running up it the moment he neared the base of it.
"WHOOOA!! You're so high up Crimson!"
Crimson run to the very top and launched off of it by accident.
"Oh! (Crimson began falling fast) NOOOO!!"
"CRIMSON!"
"I got him!"
Matoto appeared outta nowhere, launching Root like a spear.
"Crimson grab hold of me!"
Crimson latched onto Root and both of them instantly began plummeting to the ground.
"WE DIDN'T THINK THIS THROUGH!"
"WELL, THAT'S A FIRST FOR YOU ROOT!!"
At a moment's notice, they collided with the ground. Causing a small cloud of leaves and dirt. Both Pasley and Matoto rushed to their aid. Waiting for the dust to settle to see how bad it was.
"Are you guys okay!" Pasley shouts.
"That looked like a nasty fall, that's for sure."
As the dust settles, Crimson is seen standing completely fine with Root being carried by him.
"T-Thanks Crimson!"
"N-No problem, but could you get down? You're freaking heavy!"
Then instantly Crimson drops Root followed by the patting of his hands.
"That was seriously dangerous guys maybe we should be more careful!"
Pasley held her hands together, hoping everyone would listen.
"Will do Pasley!"
She smiled big as Crimson pulled himself and Root outta the hole they made.
"Now, should we begin making our way back?"
"It's probably for the best I don't want to miss my match either."
Matoto beats his fists together.
"I'm honestly worried that my match isn't going to go well guys. I hear this Mayze person is really strong."
"Oh don't be like that pasley, you'll do just fine if you believe in yourself, as we do."
"Yeah, if you use your brain like me you'll accomplish a lot!"
"It's also best to give it your all, don't let anything prevent you from going all out!"
Everyone cheered Pasley on as she began to feel some confidence in herself.
"T-Thank you, everyone!"
As the group began heading back, massive thuds stopped them in their tracks.
"W-What was that?!"
Pasley screamed as she latched onto Crimson's arm. Crimson was shocked as she held her body against him.
"Everyone stay still and wait." Root said as his curiosity for knowledge caused him to make a call.
Suddenly more thuds happened but this time they were stronger.
"Over there!" Matoto pointed towards a bundle of trees splitting in opposite directions.
"W-What is it?!"
"Whatever it is, it sure is huge."
Crimson patted Pasley's head as he got his arm free.
"Judging by its size, and our current surroundings it could be a massive animal."
Crimson's face got serious as he began to sense a faint energy surge.
"That's not an animal! Everyone get behind me!"
Suddenly bursting from the trees appeared a massive one-eyed, charcoal-colored monster. It held out its singular arm and legs spread far as it attempted to land on the four Saiyan children.
"MOVE!"
Crimson grabbed Pasley and shoved the others outta the way as it landed abruptly. Blasting them even further from the shockwave.
As they quickly recovered as a group. They stood ready.
"C-Crimson, what is that thing!"
"My father told me stories of them, but I thought he said they were all extinct!"
"What is it?" Root asked outta curiosity.
"They're known as Cogre's, they were the previous inhabitants of Escar!"
"Y-You mean this is one of the last of the species that lived on Escar before it was Escar?!"
"Yes Root, that's exactly what I mean!"
Suddenly The Cogre looked at the four Saiyan children and its eye began lighting up with energy.
"...It can't be... Cogre's aren't capable of using Ki! Unless!" Crimson thought to himself, but with no time to think he quickly shouted to everyone.
"MOVE NOW, IT'S ABOUT TO ATTACK!"
"But, it's just staring at us how do you-."
Crimson booted Matoto and Root outta the way with a fast double kick. Then rushed to Pasley pushing her outta the way simultaneously as the Cogre fired it's eye beam. Taking the full force of the attack instead of Pasley.
"C-CRIMSON!!!"
