We spent the next 15 hours riding on horseback and resting every few hours to give the horses a break from blavakan to Luton and boy was it rough, my ass has never been as sore as this before from all the horses jumping and galloping, damn horse.
when we reached Luton it was completely dark, we entered the walls after identifying ourselves to the town gard, we searched for a place to stay until we found an inn,unfortunately the inn only had one room but we had to make do.
we entered the room and I told geralt that he can have the bed, as I said this i sat on a chair in the corner of the room and sat on it and proceeded to to pretend to sleep after a whil as geral had slept, I enchanted the chair to be way more comfortable and slept on it till tomorrow.
I woke up relaxed only to see an empty bed, I cast a cleaning spell on myself and went down to the inn's first floor and restaurant and saw geralt sitting on a table all by himself, I went up to the table and sat apposite to him.
I ordered breakfast and started talking " morning geralt how was your sleep" he replied "fine, but I still dont know why you are following me david" I just smile and say "as I said before you are a man of great destiny and I will be damed if I do not watch it for myself " geralt with a confused and weirded out look says "hah destiny can go fu*k itself" I let out a chuckle and say "this is the present you talking we will see about that in the future , oh yes I also want to master a few wepons while I am here".
after finishing our breakfast we head to the town advertising and mission board. while geralt is looking I spot one that says 'drowner contract to find out more go to the docs and speak with jack the dock's manager.
I turn to geralt and tap him on the shoulder when he looks at me I point at the quest and say " let's do this one, seems easy enough" he says ok after taking the post off and we proceeded down to the docks.
at the docks we ask a worker to point us in the direction of jack the manager, he points us to a building overlooking the entire dock and says there, we say thanks and go on our way.
when we reach the building we knock on the door and a person opens he says "what do you want" I reply "are you jack" he said yes i proceed to take the poster from geralt and say "we are here to do the job".
jack looks us up and down and says "alright follow me" wen we enter he points at a part of the beach and says"this part here is infested with those fuckers, if you can clean them out I will pay you a very generous price ".
geralt says deal and we leave to go check out the place. when we get there we see a beach swarmed with drowners we decided to deal with half if them today and the rest tomorow because there were close to 60 of them as we approached I transfigure the floor to rise and form a wall in between the drowners.
geralt unshethed his sword and I summoned mine, both were silver, be proceeded to atack the 30 on one side of the wall. as we rush in we separate to each fighting half give or take and I start slicing through them with silver wile dodging blows from the ones attacking me, after fighting for half an hour and killing about 10 my arm starts to feel heavy from holding the sword, but I persevere considering this as training combat.
after 10 more minutes I turn to see geralt was already done with his part and just looked at me as if watching a movie, I say to him with an exhausted expression " let's go home I am tired as hell", geralt without wasting a second says "though I would have to save you from death but you surprise me" I coldly stare at him and say "one more word and il make you a gilded horse, now let's go tell the guy we finished half and get payment then sleep and do this again tomorrow" geralt with a strait face says ok, after I am done loading all of the corpses in my trunk to be bisected by the house elves and stored.
we go back to the doc were we tell the man we have killed half, after giving us half we tell him we will be back tomorrow to deal with the rest of them.
the next day we wake up and do the same thing as yesterday but this time instead of a sword I used double axes and boy did I suck. after finishing of the rest of the drowners we were hailed as saviors by the fishermen, we ehentbout to drink as a celebration and while geralt whent to a room accompanied by a woman I was alone, thinking about when il find a good person to love.
we spent a few more days in luton doing a few misalanious tasks, I took it upon myself to be in charge of the financial situation wich bugged geralt since he could not go willy nilly buying stuff he doesn't need.
later that day we picked up our horses form the stable, I named mine blaze and we whent on to our nex town looking for adventures and jobs that destiny throws at us.
