Ruby Mercer heard this and, although she wanted to laugh, she didn't want her grandfather to misunderstand, so she explained,
"Grandfather, he's the president of the Moore Corporation in the Capital City of Huaguoel."
Old Mr. Wood didn't know, but Noah Wood certainly did.
"Oh, so you're the famous president of the Moore Corporation. I heard that two years ago, you swiftly and decisively restructured the company shortly after taking office and secured contracts worth billions within a month. Young and promising!"
Christopher Moore humbly smiled, "You're too kind; I can only aspire to reach Mr. Wood's level."
Normally, Christopher Moore wasn't one for such insincere pleasantries, but the other party was Ruby Mercer's uncle and grandfather.
"Hmph! Young and smooth-talking, I don't like you! Since you haven't registered your marriage, I'll give you some money and you can leave. Ruby is not going to marry you."
