"Is it done? How does it look?" Ruby Mercer snapped out of her memories and asked Oakes.
"It's definitely in the style you like. You'll see when you get to the office," Oakes said, pretending to be mysterious.
"Lila, there's a fight scene in the rain today. Make sure the makeup stays put and doesn't smudge," Oakes reminded.
Ruby Mercer refused the film crew's makeup artist and relied on Lila, trusting her. Lila did a lot of research and designed makeup that matched the storyline and Ruby Mercer's strengths.
Since it's a fantasy drama, unlike historical dramas, the makeup doesn't need to follow the characteristics of a particular dynasty.

"What? There's an action scene today?" Ruby Mercer asked, surprised.
"Yeah, didn't you review the script last night?" Oakes asked, surprised as well. Ruby Mercer's professionalism was always impeccable; it was unlike her not to review the script during a break. What was going on?
