"I can eat, drink, and sleep well, what's the point of resting? The doctor said I can be discharged."
Ruby Mercer retorted with confidence.
"The doctor said you can't be discharged."
Christopher Moore lowered his gaze, after a short pause, he lied with a straight face.
"Let the doctor tell me, your words don't count."
Does he really think she's a fool?
The reason Christopher didn't want Ruby Mercer to be discharged was that there were always shady characters looking for trouble, and this gentle woman was too easy to bully.
"Alright, I'll call the doctor." With that, Christopher went out to find Ruby Mercer's attending doctor.

"Doctor, can I be discharged now? There's nothing wrong with my body, right?"
The doctor, wearing a white coat, was sweating nervously, his hands trembling uncontrollably, having abandoned his pile of patients because of the threat from the man beside him, not knowing how he got mixed up in this.
