Abyss Tunnelers. They were reclusive creatures so not much was known about them. They only left their tunnels during the mating season, otherwise staying deep within the mountains, but their size and power alone made them an A rank threat.
They may not seem that dangerous. After all, there were plenty of capable adventurers who could take down an A rank monster. But all of that changed when you were faced with dozens of hyper-aggressive individuals.
It was the only time you came across them, and as such, many adventurers who tried their hand at exploring this dangerous region had lost their lives to them. The few witness accounts Rune had been able to hear, only saw the creatures from a distance, but they described them ass bulky and worm-like with large claws.
That vague description had been more than enough to be chilling.
