After leaving his beachside campe behind, Rune continued north. He continued sticking to the coast where it was safest.
There were rumors of bandits in the area, according to the information he had gathered in the last town, but nobody had actually seen the bandits with their own eyes. It was hard a verify the validity of their statements. Aside from that, he would have to watch out for wandering beasts like the Steel Wolf he encountered the day before.
But this was the safest route he could take. The real dangers wouldn't start until he cut across the forest and began traveling westward into the mountain range. He would have to move stealthily. With his powers weakened as much as they were, he wasn't sure he could survive an encounter with one of the stronger beasts.
His pace continued steadily, and another two days went by until Rune finally began moving west.
