Anger began to bubble up as the black mass resisted Stella's will. Whatever this thing was, it wasn't Raya anymore. She fully dove into Rune's soul and ripped their fusion apart, seperating them forcefully.
"Get out of him, you bitch!!"
When she came back out, she dragged the black mass with her and cast it away. The throbbing ball of darkness bounced and slid severly times before coming to a stop just before the horizon line.
"Guh...what was that?"
With blood still dripping from his lips, Rune rolled over and craned his head up to look at the one who had always tried to look out for him, and his eyes widened in horror.
The black mass throbbed and pulled until something popped. It was like the membrane of and egg was broken and what was inside came crawling out. Raya stood up on unsteady legs, only she no longer looked like the Raya he knew. Her clothes had melted off leaving her naked from head to toe, and her skin was a leathery shade of black.
Rune grunted in pain.
