Marilith was going on a rampage. The cocoon of silk that Miriam had created before she died was well hidden. It was nearly impossible to notice among the flames and giant shards of shattered glass. So with nothing left to draw her attention, the First Beast let out her rage on the desert itself.
Tendrils of fire lashed at the smoky, bruised night sky, and and giant blade beat into the dunes with reckless abandoned. In impact created and earthquake, and sent tremors ripping through the land. As Marilith was lost in the fires of her own rage, two figures flashed before her.
It was Rune and Stella, and they were radiating power as walked up to her.
Stella had already activated her Flame embodiment. She was flame incarnate, and her burning silhouette made her look like a goddess of fire. Rune on the other hand, had not changed much.
