If anything happened to the Country of Taia, he wouldn't be too distressed, at most he'd feel a bit sorry for Kama, as he didn't have many friends.
More importantly, he wouldn't be able to utilize the Country of Taia to rebuild the Adisa, and finding another suitable technological civilization would be very difficult.
The science involved isn't something other civilizations or technological nations couldn't accomplish, but whether they understand the Adisa's subspace battleship technology or have prior data on the Adisa, is uncertain for Jia Yan.
Another crucial reason is Jia Yan doesn't really trust others. Perhaps for him now, finding a place like the Country of Taia or far surpassing its technology isn't too hard, but could he trust those other places? Impossible.
