As dusk fell, Jack Hugh rode back to Anderson Castle in Jane's car from the Ancient Village.
Last night in the cave didn't give him a good rest, so Jack turned his head slightly and took a nap in the passenger seat of Jane's car.
He took off his glasses, making his facial contours seem even smoother, yet the light stubble on his chin couldn't hide his youthful demeanor.
While waiting at a red light, Jane glanced at him. Her gaze softened, and deep within her eyes spread a feeling of admiration and longing. The woman murmured, "Why can't I be as carefree and happy as you are."
When the light turned green, the honking of the car behind them startled Jack awake and brought Jane's attention back to the road.
The gentle light in her eyes retracted, she focused on driving straight ahead.
When Jack noticed they were in the center of Ael, he quickly sat up straight to shake off his drowsiness.
"You drive pretty fast."
"You slept for too long."
