Hazel stared at Arzaan as he put some distance between them. He told her not to move from where she stood so he could see her and be careful but to accidentally hurt her. She still could not believe that he was indeed a dragon but then, this world was filled with creatures she never once imagined were real.
He looked like every other human man she knew, and so did most of the royal guards but she had seen them with wings which was inhuman. At first, she thought she thought he was messing with her but now that he brought her out here to show her that he was serious, she didn't know what to make of it.
She watched him put more distance between them while keeping his eyes on her. When he felt the gap was big enough he stopped and smiled but she looked puzzled.
She stared at him to see if there was any change but found nothing and took her steps towards but the smile he wore started to fade as if he was not happy with coming closer when he asked her to stay there, far away.
