The lights of the Cui family finally went out.
Wen Ran and Shen Wu sat on a branch not far away. She stared at the now dark window, her expression grave.
Shen Wu was worried she might be cold, so he took off his outer garment and draped it over her.
He was not one to care for others, but during their time in the Northern Domain, when he was cold, Wen Ran would cover him with clothes like this, so he learned it from her.
She was deep in thought, so he wrapped an arm around her waist and played with the ties on her clothing, keeping his head down.
Wen Ran snapped out of her reverie and gently nudged him, "You saw it just now, didn't you? That Cui family girl looks exactly like the Lady Gu we met before, doesn't she?"
"It seems like it."
"What do you mean by 'seems like'?"
He said innocently, "Ranran, I was only looking at you."
So other women, he didn't really see.
Wen Ran couldn't keep her face stern any longer. She murmured softly, "Who told you to keep looking at me?"
