Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 2

"We'll think about it? I definitely am not doing that" Lisa said to Leah as they were climbing up the stairs.

"Yeah, why did you just conclude on your own and generalize it? Don't even give me the excuse of being the oldest" Lena sighed.

"Think about it. Dad has already made up his mind to put us in the same school. So you guys think that telling him no will change his mind? You know how Dad is. Once he has made up his mind, he makes sure he does that." Leah explained.

"I agree with her in a way. Remember that time Dad wanted the four of us to go see uncle Bill. We all refused but ended up going. This is just gonna be like that. No matter what, we'll still do what Dad wants", Lily added.

"Whatever" Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Let's just manage for three months. It could be worse if we don't agree. He could force us to do things we might not want. He may even seize our phones to make us 'spend time together'. So let's just do this, okay?" Leah finalized.

The two( Lena and Lisa) gave an 'okay, fine' expression as they went to their various rooms.

Dinner.

"So have you guys agreed on what to do?" Dad inquired.

"Yes. We agreed but we have some conditions" Leah answered.

"First, we won't be in the same class no matter what." Lisa dictated.

"Second, we won't go home together" Lily continued.

"Third, if we don't like it after this term, we're free to change schools. You said this yourself" Lena added.

"Fourth,..." Leah was interrupted.

"It's okay. Just write them down so that it can be official. I'll also write down my conditions." Dad proposed. "That'll be better right? So that we can come back to it if needed."

"Okay, that's fine." Leah said.

Monday came. The first day at a new school for the quadruplets. That was supposed to be exciting, but not for them. Actually, they felt something else- annoyance.

"Mom, how can you do this to us? Why do we have to wear the same outfit?!" Lisa retorted, looking at her outfit in a shopping bag.

"And moreover, you didn't find a better color? What's up with white and black?" Lily added, bringing hers out from the bag and scrutinizing it.

"Practically, they aren't the same. Leah, yours is a round neck, Lily has a u-neck, Lisa has a v-neck while Lena has a canoe neck. So they're different." Mom claimed.

"Dad, this wasn't part of our arrangement. We already look alike. Do is also have to wear similar outfits too?" Lena turned to him.

"Okay, it won't happen again. Just today okay?" Dad apologized.

"You guys should come have breakfast." Mom said, smiling.

Mom prepared toasted bread and scrambled egg with hot chocolate for the quadruplets, while she and her husband substituted hot chocolate for tea.

They ate quickly and rushed outside only to see that Dad was behind them.

"Dad, you're not dropping us off at school today, are you?" Leah asked, not wanting to believe it.

"Actually, I am. Who knows, you guys may not go to school and go somewhere else and break off our agreement. You know it's possible right?" Dad paused. "So I'll drop you off today." Dad said, as he opened the car door. "Get in."

"But...." Lily wanted to argue.

"No arguments this morning please. Lets just go" Dad pleaded.

The car wasn't a new one. They had it since they were living in Philadelphia. But, due to proper maintenance, it still looks good and bew. It was a Cienna which had 7 seats, including the driver's seat. So it was enough for the whole family.

The girls entered the back and settled down.

They arrived in front of the school gate. 'THE ROYALS HIGH SCHOOL' was boldly fixed on the school wall. The buildings were kind of tall, it looked like a big school and that wasn't what they expected.

Dad encouraged them not to cause any trouble and wished them success which they grudgingly accepted.

Immediately Dad left, they all gave a sarcastic smile.

Royals High School had better be prepared for them.
