In an instant, Julius Goodman seemed to understand something, but before he could speak, Amy Goodman had already run back with an ice pack in hand.
After a frantic moment of first aid, Julius finally managed to stop the bleeding.
Amy was thoroughly disdainful, "Look at you, just because Ava Kent is home, do you really have to be like this?"
Julius said, "…Maybe I've been eating too well lately and got a bit overheated."
Amy gave him a 'Do you think I believe that?' look.
"Really think it's that easy to fool your mom?"
"I'm telling the truth," Julius said with a look of despair.
And the real culprit behind all this was looking at him innocently at the moment, but knowing her well, he was sure she was secretly laughing inside.
"Alright, since you're back, give Ava a shoulder rub; I'll go cook," she said.
Then Amy said to Ava, "Ava, stay here for dinner today. It's a hassle cooking by yourself since your mom is away."
