"Hmm?"
Julius Goodman looked at her in confusion. He knew lamb was nutritious, but Janet's words seemed to imply there were other effects.
"Janice, does lamb have any special uses?"
Hearing him ask, Janet laughed more heartily, lightly covering her mouth, and the others all had ambiguous smiles, leaving Julius completely puzzled.
Jennifer Von said helplessly, "Your Janice just sees you work hard and wants you to eat more. What else could it mean?"
"Exactly, Julius. Your work is exhausting. Since Ava Kent has served you, you might as well eat." Amy Goodman chimed in.
Both their eyes fell on Ava Kent, who displayed an equally bewildered expression, seemingly unintended, so they assumed it was just a coincidence.
Even though they said this, Julius Goodman still kept his guard up.
Ava Kent used to occasionally bring him meals, but not as frequently as she had been recently.
And it had all been highly nutritious items.
