Having figured this out, Jennifer Von pulled out the necklace hidden by her clothes and asked, "Ava, where did you buy this necklace?"
"I just bought it at the mall."
It was mainly because it was too late that night, and every place except the mall was closed.
Buying it at the mall, the chances of it being fake are relatively low.
Jennifer Von continued to ask, "How much did it cost?"
"..." Ava Kent paused for a few seconds, then changed the subject, "Mom, let's eat first, I'm starving."
Jennifer Von tapped her chest, "Feeling suffocated, no appetite."
"Come on, I'll take you shopping after lunch," Ava coaxed.
Jennifer Von glanced at her, "Shopping all the time, if you have time for that, why not..."
"Read a book, right?" Ava interrupted, speechless. "Mom, it's finally summer vacation, can't you let me rest a bit?"
