She really didn't understand how this straight-shooter managed to chase Ava Kent.
Maybe it wasn't him chasing her, but Ava herself clinging to him?
Thinking about it like this, she felt much better, suddenly realizing that Julius being straightforward had its advantages—it indicated their relationship was unstable and easily disrupted.
Ava was just a bookish nerd, prone to jealousy and uninteresting. As long as she could learn a bit more about jade and share a hobby with Julius, wouldn't that create a connection?
Barbara comforted herself for a bit, politely bid farewell to Julius and Mrs. Goodman, and left the Goodman Family home.
