"Hold her," Shea orders.
Before Tristana can react, pack warriors seize her, forcing her to her knees. She thrashes, screams, begs—
"Justin, run!"
But he doesn't.
He won't.
"I'm not leaving you," he growls.
That's when Shea reveals the truth.
"There are ways," her father says slowly, "to deal with a fated bond… without killing either party."
Justin's blood runs cold.
"No."
Tristana's heart begins to pound wildly. "What do you mean…?"
Cristoff smiles.
A twisted, eager smile.
