Xiao Mei looked curiously at Xiao Feng, who was wearing a high-collared robe in the middle of summer.

Customers continuously entered and left the building, carrying clothing boxes and beautifully wrapped packages.
As Xiao Feng and Xiao Mei approached, the guards stationed outside immediately straightened their backs.
Xiao Feng nodded casually and walked inside with Xiao Mei still holding his arm.
The first floor was filled with clothing displays. Colourful dresses, embroidered robes, stockings, gloves, and various accessories were arranged beneath bright crystal lamps.
Several attendants moved between the customers, patiently introducing the newest designs.
Xiao Mei's eyes immediately lit up.
She had already forgotten everything except the matching clothes Xiao Feng had promised to buy with her.
At that moment, on the top floor of the chamber of commerce, Ya Fei stood beside a large window while examining the branch's recent accounts.
She casually glanced downward, looking towards the entrance.
The moment she saw Xiao Feng entering with Xiao Mei attached to his arm, her enchanting eyes narrowed slightly.
"It seems Young Master Xiao has recovered quite well.
Ya Fei lightly touched her lips, and the smile upon her face became as enchanting as a blooming crimson poppy.

After speaking, Ya Fei walked out of her office and slowly made her way along the corridor on the top floor.
From the railing, she could clearly see Xiao Feng and Xiao Mei browsing through the section reserved for matching outfits.
Xiao Mei moved excitedly between the displays, holding one dress after another against herself before asking Xiao Feng for his opinion.
Xiao Feng followed beside her patiently, occasionally nodding or pointing out a design that suited her.
Ya Fei rested one hand upon the railing and watched them with an amused smile.
Approaching Xiao Feng directly would be inconvenient. Xiao Mei was holding his arm so tightly that she showed no intention of leaving him alone.
She could ask an attendant to summon him upstairs under the excuse of discussing the branch accounts, but doing so while Xiao Mei was beside him might arouse suspicion.
After considering it for a moment, her gaze shifted toward the fitting rooms.
Once Xiao Mei began trying on the dresses, Xiao Feng would be left waiting outside alone.
That would be the perfect opportunity.
A charming smile slowly appeared upon Ya Fei's lips.
She lightly touched them as memories of their previous private meeting returned to her mind.

As Xiao Feng and Mei, walked deeper, various beautiful outfits came into view. Unlike the ordinary garments displayed near the entrance, every outfit here had been arranged in pairs.
The first set Xiao Mei noticed was black and crimson.
The man's robe was primarily black, with crimson borders running along the collar, sleeves and lower hem. Fine golden lotus patterns had been embroidered across one shoulder before spreading down the side like blooming vines.
Beside it hung a fitted crimson dress with flowing black sleeves. The same golden lotuses circled its slender waist and continued along the layered skirt.

Xiao Mei released his arm to take down the crimson dress.
She held it against herself and turned toward him.

Xiao Feng looked at the bright dress before nodding.
"It suits you."
Xiao Mei's lips immediately curved into a delighted smile.
She picked up the matching black robe and pressed it against Xiao Feng's body.
"And this one suits Brother Feng."
The deep colours made his fair complexion appear even clearer, while the golden embroidery matched the lotus mark between his brows.
Xiao Mei stepped back and examined him seriously.
"This set is good. We should try it later."
Before Xiao Feng could respond, she had already handed both pieces to the attendant following them.
They continued walking.
A short distance away stood another set made from ivory and pale-golden silk.
The man's robe possessed broad sleeves and a high collar, with golden threads forming delicate bamboo leaves along the hem. The woman's dress had a fitted waist and several flowing layers, while small golden butterflies were embroidered across the short skirt.
Xiao Mei stood before the dress for several moments.
"This one looks so good."
The attendant smiled politely and introduced, "This design is called the Golden Promise. It is especially popular among newly engaged couples."
Xiao Mei's face immediately turned red and she glanced secretly at Xiao Feng before reaching for the dress.
"We should try this one too."
Xiao Feng looked at her flushed cheeks but wisely chose not to tease her.
The third pair had a more youthful appearance.
The man's clothing consisted of a dark-blue fitted jacket and matching trousers, decorated with understated silver lines. The woman's outfit was a short blue dress with a pleated skirt, white stockings and a small shoulder cape.
Both pieces carried the same silver star emblem near the chest.
Xiao Mei studied the unfamiliar design with curiosity.
"Is this one one of those new designs."
"Yes, it is one of the chamber's newer styles," Xiao Feng explained.
Xiao Mei held the dress against herself and looked toward a nearby mirror.
"It's quite pretty."
"I agree. Let's buy it too."
"Then this pair is also coming with us."
The attendant's arms were already full, but Xiao Mei had no intention of stopping.
She continued from one display to another, carefully comparing every set.
There was a green-and-white pair embroidered with willow leaves, a luxurious purple set decorated with tiny gemstones, and a simple cream-coloured pair with red threads tied around the sleeves.
Each one seemed more beautiful than the last.
Xiao Feng followed patiently, occasionally helping her remove an outfit from a higher rack or giving his opinion when she became trapped between two choices.
From the upper floor, Ya Fei quietly watched them.
Xiao Mei was completely absorbed in the clothing. At this rate, she would spend quite some time trying everything on.
