Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 - It's not my fault

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be enjoying yourself with your little harem?"

Tendō Civil Security Agency,

Kisara sat behind her desk, glaring at the handsome bastard standing before her with gritted teeth.

Xiao Feng looked at her furious expression and felt wronged.

Yesterday, Kisara was pushed into his arms when they were sleeping together with the kids at IISO. Because of that, he received two slaps after she woke up.

It was Koharu who had moved Kisara beside him while everyone was sleeping. He hadn't deliberately pulled her into his arms. Why did he have to get beaten.

If she wanted to blame someone, she should blame Koharu instead of him.

However, when Xiao Feng recalled how soft and comfortable Kisara felt to hug, he felt that he hadn't suffered much of a loss.

Without saying anything, he took out a gold bar from his Space Ring and placed it on the desk before slowly pushing it toward her.

The gleaming metal immediately caught Kisara's attention and her fierce glare softened almost instantly, and a faint smile appeared on her face.

"Oh? Why didn't you do this from the beginning?" Kisara's previously hostile voice suddenly became gentle and sweet, as though she had never been angry with him.

Watching her expression change so quickly, the corner of Xiao Feng's mouth twitched. He barely managed to suppress his laughter.

Kisara leaned back in her chair and spoke playfully.

"You know, Xiao Feng, you're much less irritating when you bring gifts. Keep this up, and perhaps I'll eventually stop calling you a bastard."

Xiao Feng rolled his eyes.

Kisara tilted her head slightly. Her fingers continued tracing the edge of the gold bar while her eyes remained fixed on him.

"Alright. You've purchased my attention for the moment. What's the reason you came here? Don't tell me you only wanted to bribe me into forgetting what happened."

"I want someone to show me around the Tokyo Area," Xiao Feng replied. "Since you're a local, I thought you would make a suitable guide."

"A tour?" Kisara raised her eyebrows, "You want to go sightseeing? I didn't think you were the type to wander around pretending to be a tourist."

"There are a few things I need to familiarize myself with," Xiao Feng answered vaguely. "Besides, I want to see what Tokyo here is really like."

Although Kisara noticed the strange wording, she didn't question him about it.

"Fine. I'll show you around. But you're paying for everything."

A sly smile appeared on her face.

"Don't worry. Leave the expenses to me." Xiao Feng confidently patted his chest.

Kisara studied him for several seconds before her playful expression faded. She crossed her legs beneath the desk and looked directly into his eyes.

"Now tell me the actual reason. I don't believe that someone like you would tour this miserable city merely because he felt bored."

Xiao Feng possessed enough power to destroy the Tokyo branch of the IISO by himself. Someone like that wouldn't casually wander around without a purpose.

"Can't you simply pretend that you didn't notice?"

Xiao Feng sighed helplessly.

"Didn't anyone tell you that girls who are too clever have difficulty finding boyfriends?"

"Bastard..."

Kisara gritted her teeth as murderous intent appeared in her eyes.

If she had been strong enough to defeat him, she might already have drawn her sword.

"I want to investigate the living conditions of the Cursed Children inside the Tokyo Area," Xiao Feng finally explained, "Although Seitenshi has promised me to give all the free Cursed Children to me to take care of, it will take time."

"In the meantime, I want to save the Cursed Children who are being mistreated, I'll take them away just as I did with the children held by the IISO."

Kisara stared at him silently before sighing, "You're truly a troublesome person."

"Most people would rather close their eyes than confront the reality faced by the Cursed Children."

She remembered how Xiao Feng had invaded the IISO facility alone merely to rescue a group of children whom he had never met.

Complicated emotions rose within her heart.

If Xiao Feng had known her parents back then, perhaps they wouldn't have died because of that conspiracy. Someone like him would never stand by and watch his friends be murdered.

Although Kisara had known Xiao Feng for only a few days, she already possessed an inexplicable confidence in that fact.

Unfortunately, there were no such things as second chances for the past. Her parents were already dead.

Kisara quietly sighed and buried those thoughts deep within her heart.

Xiao Feng smiled faintly, "I'm not like most people. You should already understand that."

Before Kisara could respond, the office door suddenly opened Nd Rentaro Satomi walked inside.

The fourteen-year-old boy had only recently left the Tendō household. His clothes were neat, but the exhaustion hidden beneath his eyes revealed that his new life had not been easy.

He had lost the security provided by the Tendou family without yet building a stable life of his own.

At present, Kisara was one of the few people he believed he could rely upon completely. So when he heard Kisara was involved with a terrorist, he immediately came to find her.

Unfortunately, she wasn't here yesterday. So he came again today, intending to ask what happened to her.

However, the moment Rentaro entered, he saw Xiao Feng standing in front of Kisara's desk, and his footsteps stopped then his expression quickly darkened and his entire body became tense.
