Chapter 1 - Introduction

My name is Samantha Jones. Born and raised in South Africa. I am the youngest of three siblings. Currently I'm giving mathematics at an University in America. Two kids in our family, is studying at the same University where I teach at. Daniel Miller, my sister's eldest and Jessica Jones, my brother's second child.

My best friend is a blonde blue eyed woman from Texas, who just happens to give Literature in the same building that I teach. Abby Sanchez is a responsible young adult, who has her quirks. She knows me inside and out. She knows that Dan and JJ are related. She knows about my Father. How my Mom died in the hospital, a month after being diagnosed with the Corona virus and how Dad just happened to remarry two years later. His new wife is just slightly older than I am, and she's expecting my father's baby. She's twenty five weeks into the pregnancy. At the moment she's home, while Dad is ordering his troops into war. A war against South Korea. After the deathly pandemic outbreak, Dad felt disgusted towards all Asian races and conducted a war against them. Blaming them for the millions of people that died to its hand. Blaming them for Mom's death. I'm completely against his actions. It's shallow and ignorant. How can an entire human race be blamed for something like that. It's not their fault. Everybody suffered in that dark times, but it's over now. We should all be thankful for that. We should embrace this second chance that the Lord gave us with both hands.

Because of Dad and his destroy-mankind-hobby. Dan, JJ and myself were forced to carry a little device around and have it on at all times. It has a front camera, a speaker/mike and a place to text. This annoying little device is linked directly to my Dad's computer, informing him about our every move. There's three functions underneath the options that could be marked. At least one, preferably the speaker/mike option should always be on. I had never unmarked any of those options before. Afraid that he would get on the first plane and terrorize America like a new and informed Hitler. Afraid that he will barge into one of my lessons and drag me back home. I can't stand his new wife who were still in diapers when I was born. To avoid any conflict, I immediately excepted the job offer in America when it fell into my lap.
