Chapter 3 - New Home

"This is the living room," Laurence my new father was showing me around the house, "Where we relax and watch tv."

Linda was following them, her eyes never leaving the child.

As he pointed to the old tv in front of the living room, the child's eyes followed.

"That's the tv, it has thousands upon thousands of programs that we watch whenever we have time."

Linda noticed something strange with the boy.

His eyes seem to recognize everything inside, instead of looking at it like a stranger would.

It was weird, but it was something that she must have figured it to be in his alien genes.

"Let's go on to your room shall we?" Lawrence smiled nervously. The boy raised an eyebrow confused at him. Nervous, why would he be nervous if he was fine with him before?

....

I stared wide-eyed at what was in front of me. I really shouldn't have been surprised, because I had seen the show but...

So, much, Pink.

It's everywhere!

I really hope this isn't my room otherwise my pride as a male is going to take a huge dive; especially now that I've turned into a baby.

Lawrence chuckled nervously noticing my wide-eyed expression. "Yeah, this was going to be your sister's room, so we had it painted pink and girly."

There was a pause, a sort of akward silence swept through the three of us. "We can change it if you want?"

I gazed at it for a long moment before I sighed, "Nah, don't worry about it, although my pride as a male may take a huge dive. Other than that, it isn't really that big of a deal, unless housing people is free on this planet."

Linda and Lawrence gasped in surprise, Lawrence was about to speak, but Linda beat him too it, "You can speak English?"

"English?" I tilted my head by showcasing a look of confusion, "What's that?"

They looked at me bewildered, "Child, that's the language that you had spoke in."

"You mean, Kryptonian?" I asked, smiling inwardly.

Linda looked dumbfounded, while Lawrence gained an excited look in his eyes, "Kyrptonian? Is that the name of your race?"

I nodded my head.

"Astounding." Lawrence said in awe, "to think not only are we not alone in this universe, but to know that another alien civilization speaks our language, it's incredible."

"You seemed to be incredibly smart for a child your age." Linda spoke softly, "are all...Kry....tonians like this?"

I nodded my head, 'Yes, blame it all on the fact that I'm an alien.'

"Do you of your parents, do you know why they sent you here?" Linda asked again slightly nervous.

I smiled sadly, "My parents wanted me to live so I can be a light and a hope to earth."

Lawrence frowned at that part, "Something happened didn't it?"

"Krypton is dead," I answered him, "and that means so are my parents."

Linda felt guilty now, she was thinking that this baby could possibly be a threat, not knowing the child has gone through something so traumatic, and for a huma...err...alien so young...wait..is he young?

"How old are you child?" Linda asked softly.

I tilted my head, "Well, I am 3."

"Oh lord!" Linda gasped and hugged me tightly to her chest, since I was still small, my my face was squashed up against her breast, I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy that.

"I'm so sorry!"

I patted her on the back and eventually she let go, I looked at her and smiled, "that's alright, the past is the past."

"Indeed..." Lawrence frowned, "But if you ever need a person to talk to..."

"I'll be fine." I said softly, gazing at the room..

Lawrence frowned before he smiled, "You know, you said before that we earthlings have free housing? We don't but we have the next best thing."

He glanced at Linda who smiled reassuringly at me, "Don't worry dear, I can easily handle this, one of the benefit's of being a world famous singer."

I smiled.
