Elise Don suddenly got fired up.
Oliver Bloom looked innocent, "I called you President Don. When did I ever call you a dog?"
Elise Don squinted her eyes.
A woman in a bad mood is not to be trifled with.
Oliver set his book aside to see what Elise was reading.
It was a poetry collection by Paul Éluard.
He skimmed through it and Elise leaned over, "Which line do you like?"
"This one," Oliver pointed at the book, reciting softly, "Apart from loving you, I have no other wish. A storm fills the canyon, a fish fills the river."
It sounded like someone was suddenly confessing their love.
Elise kept a straight face, trying hard not to laugh.
She asked, "Is there more?"
Oliver thought for a moment, "A storm fills the canyon, a fish fills the river, and a Lily fills my heart... just a bit shedding fur."
Elise was just about to smile triumphantly when she heard the latter part and got riled up again.
"You still called me a dog!"
"I said you're a cat."
"Dog!"
"Cat."
