Lin Wanwan placed Xiao Chong's letter into a wooden box in the desk drawer, then opened a scroll and took out the painting to hang on the bookshelf for a closer look.
The painting depicted a scene of grass and insects, with a few bees flying next to an orchid. The nectar looked like dewdrops, some bees were collecting the nectar while others hovered around, lively and vivid.
Although Lin Wanwan didn't understand painting or its techniques, beauty is universal, and she felt the painting was beautiful and real, quite different from her impression of ancient Chinese paintings.
"Is this a meticulous brush painting?" Lin Wanwan wasn't quite sure, since she had never studied painting. "I wonder whose work this could be, could it be Xiao Chong's own?"
Her gaze fell on the signature of the painting, and after trying to discern it for a long time, she still couldn't make out what the characters engraved in the two red seals were.
