With one stream of consciousness, he reviewed his memories of fire techniques. With the other, he simultaneously analyzed water-based formations. Both processes happened in parallel without interfering with each other.
'Success,' both streams thought simultaneously. The sensation was strange but familiar. Like remembering how to perform a skill he'd once mastered completely.
Arthur opened his eyes. From outside observation, nothing appeared different. He looked exactly the same. But internally, everything had changed.
