"Got it!"
The boss was overjoyed, immediately rushed over, grabbed the bronze handle, and pulled up: "I hope we can still catch up with them!"
At that moment, there was a thud from the doorway.
It was a zombie perched on the roof that heard the noise, jumped down, and darted toward the boss using all fours like a Komodo dragon.
This zombie, like the previous meat mound, was also a rare creature, tasked with hunting down humans who later entered the wooden house in the forest.
"Damn!"
The boss panicked and dove into the entrance.
But he was too hurried; his steps were too fast, plus the staircase was spiral and dimly lit. He lost his balance and tumbled down.
The zombie circled the entrance twice, sniffed, and crawled back out, returning to the rooftop.
Entering the entrance signified passing through this rule's pollution, so it wouldn't continue the pursuit.
