Chapter 1245 - Still There

"I will keep the debris from falling to the ground," Thar'Zul-Vekar said, their voice steady and filled with real determination as they lifted their hands toward the fractured sky.

Roots of light unfurled around them, spreading outward and upward like living veins, reaching for the raining fragments torn loose by the clash above. 

Broken stone, shattered remnants of flesh, and fragments of warped space slowed as the roots caught them, bound them, and held them suspended before they could fall toward the helpless world below.

Eccar looked at them, hope shining clearly in his eyes. Yet deep in his heart, he knew the truth. 

Thar'Zul-Vekar was weakened as well. Their presence flickered faintly, their power no longer endless as it once had been. And still, they chose to stand here and bear this burden.

That alone spoke of how deeply the ancient forest god wished to protect this world.

"Thank you," Eccar said sincerely. "Without you, this whole fight would be far harder."
