Erend stepped into the room and immediately saw Adrien Boartusk seated alone, the man surrounded by tall stacks of folders and papers.
His posture was rigid as always and his eyes scanned documents with sharp precision.
A few red-marked sheets were spread on the table indicating those who'd already caught his attention. For better or worse.
"Didn't we already sort them for the first batch?" Erend asked as he approached.
Adrien glanced up but didn't stop reading. "Not yet. I want to evaluate more."
"You do know we can't exactly reject them at this point right, Captain?" Erend said, leaning on the edge of the table.
"I know," Adrien replied. "But that doesn't mean I can't dig deeper into their personality. We've seen what happens when the wrong person gets a taste of this kind of power. I'm not letting that happen again if I can help it. You should too."
