The King, Queen and the Prince all looked at each other after Emilia delivered her ultimatum.
The Queen then turned back to us, "May we be allowed a moment to discuss this?"
Emilia turned to look at me, passing the decision to me instead.
I nodded, "Fine. But don't keep us waiting for long. If I have to wait here too long, I may just lose interest in this entirely and just leave."
Obviously that was a not so subtle threat that we may retract this offer if we think they were stalling for time.
The three of them nodded simultaneously before they got up to leave the room.
Huh… They actually vacated the place? I was prepared to leave with my girls instead since that should normally be the case right? Seeing that this was their place and they are technically higher in position than us, it should make sense that we should be the ones that left the room.
For them to voluntarily leave instead… There must be a reason for that.
