But last night, she clearly hid in the bathroom, and even locked the door.

Bertha Haines' face felt like it had been slapped hard, burning with pain.
Seeing the young girl's eyes turn red, Amos Smith's tone softened a bit.
"Also, the reason I didn't let you drink alcohol earlier is for this reason."
Bertha Haines pursed her lips and blinked her eyes a couple of times, originally wanting to hold back her tears, but they fell anyway.

Amos Smith: "..." Was he too harsh with his words?
"I didn't say you did anything wrong, I just want to tell you that your sense of safety isn't strong enough. In the future, no matter what you do, always leave a way out for yourself."
