From childhood to adulthood, troubles came to her automatically, too numerous to count, so when Lillian Lewis came to the academy looking for her, Bertha Haines was already used to it.
And only a few people knew Sebastian Page liked her, she didn't even need to eliminate suspects to figure out who brought this trouble to her.
"What's your relationship with Sebastian Page?"
April immediately retorted for Bertha Haines upon hearing the tone of the question.
"What's her relationship with Sebastian Page, that's none of your damn business!"
Lillian Lewis then turned her gaze to April, sizing her up and down with extreme disdain, then shifted her gaze back to Bertha Haines.
"I heard you have an engagement with Sebastian Page?"
"But do you think you're worthy of him?"
April continued to retaliate: "Whether she's worthy is not for you to decide! You may look presentable, and your family might be decent, but isn't it true that Sebastian Page doesn't like you?"
