I woke up from 5 hours of sleep with the help of my scouter beeping sounds. During my 2 years of life as a Saiyan, I've managed to reduce my sleep time without side effects. Any grogginess that should be felt after waking up can easily be removed after circulating my KI around my body. After cleansing myself in the bathroom using some weird sonic shower, I materialize my weighted Saiyan armor on my body. I put on my scouter and then memorize the direction of the training place.
Of course, before I go to the training place, I ate the nutritious food provided by the scientist in my room. It doesn't taste that good, but it's fulfilling at least. The timer from my scouter shows me I have 30 minutes to go to the training place, so I get out and fly towards it. Some unnamed Saiyans get spooked when I fly past them in the corridor. I don't understand why these Saiyans choose to walk around this place if they can fly really, the corridor is sizeable enough to give room for flight even for an adult Saiyan.
Fifteen minutes in, I arrive at the training place, and just in time to see Vegeta and a familiar Saiyan arrived. Nappa doesn't look relatively different from what I remember in the Saiyan Saga, besides a patch of hair on top of his head. From what I remember, Vegeta once says Saiyan hair never changes and grows after a certain length. Nappa's case of baldness is a mystery all things considered.
'Surely he doesn't go bald because of Saitama Exercise™ right?' with that thought in my mind, Nappa looked at me and start talking.
"Broly right? I'm Nappa, Prince Vegeta's minder. It's good that you're arriving on time, let's just get inside the training room so we can begin the spar" he says while showing the training room.
"Good day Nappa, Prince Vegeta," I say with a nod.
"Just call me Vegeta, you too Nappa," Vegeta says to both of us.
Nappa only raises his eyebrow and gives an "Alright" before proceeding to the training room. Inside the training room, the ambient is darker with a red tint. Ten saibamen are waiting for us, a menacing grin on their face.
"These are saibamen, they are an effective combat enemy for both of you. A single saibamen has a power level of 800 and each of you will get 5. Now go ahead and fight them, I will be waiting outside watching from a monitor room" Nappa explains while slowly walking outside.
'Welp, Saiyan gonna give Saiyan instruction I guess' I thought while shaking my head.
"I'm gonna go first Broly, you just wait for your turn," Vegeta says while smirking in excitement.
"Ah, maybe I should also fight them Vegeta, after we finish them off we can fight each other, how's that?" I gave a counter offer.
"Heh, I like your idea Broly, These creatures are warming up for us" his smirk turns into a grin, then he shoots off towards a group of 5 saibamen.
With that, I slowly walk toward my group of saibamen.
'I could easily kill all 5 of them instantly if I want, but where's the fun in that?'
I could feel my body eager for battle, my muscle taut ready to be used. My first casualty is the saibamen on the right-most corner, who try to jump me without cue. Keyword try. Because as soon as the saibamen start a jumping motion, my body moves before it. The unfortunate saibamen's head exploded when a KI-infused knee meet his head. The other four indicate surprise by a slight widening of their eyes, but too bad for them I don't give them any time to think.
I stay afloat and gather a KI on both of my palms and mold it into a ball, then lob it towards the saibamen furthest from where I float. The Ki ball makes a contact with the two saibamen, resulting in a small green explosion that decimates them. With a satisfied, almost maniacal grin, I shoot off towards the last two saibamen. I stretch my hands to my side and use a KI-infused Double Lariat towards their body, ending their miserable existence. I got off my flight and look at Vegeta's battle with his saibamen.
'I think the scene where he fights 5 saibamen simultaneously in the anime is when he's older'
It's not like he's struggling against 5 saibamen, far from it. But it's a far cry from moping the floor as seen in anime either. After 15 minutes, Vegeta finished off the last saibamen with a KI blast. He doesn't look much different all things considered, although his gloves singed a bit. He looks in my direction, then his eyes widen slightly.
"Good, you're not useless, let's start our fight," he said with a smirk.
With a nod and a "Lets" from me, Vegeta flies towards me in an arching motion, right-hand front and left hand making a fist aimed at my face. I Broly, of course, respond as Broly does. I cross my arm in front of my chest, a smirk on my face, and let Vegeta's punch land on my thin KI barrier. Vegeta, not to be deterred by this, continue his barrage of punch and kick around my body to no avail. He stops his assault, jump back and charge a KI blast with both of his hand. With an angry cry, he shoots the KI blast towards me, blowing the area where I stand. When the dust settled, I can see his grimace, finding out that all his attacks result in nothing, not even scratching my clothes.
"How, how is this possible? I'm the Prince of All Saiyans. I'm supposed to be the strongest!" with a slight pant, and desperate cry, he wants to continue his assault again. But I stop him with a gesture.
"Stop Vegeta, it's not working before, it sure will not work now," I say with placating gesture.
"Are you underestimating me Broly?!"
"Now now, I'm not underestimating you Vegeta, I'm just stating facts. I'm stopping you because I want to make this sparring works, not undermining you"
"What are you saying Broly? Speak clearly!"
'Sheesh, he have short fuse since he was a kid isn't he?'
"Alright, first I want to ask you, do you know why all your attack doesn't work on me?" I ask while walking toward him.
With a grimace, Vegeta shook his head.
"Well, you know KI energy inside our body right?" I ask him again, receiving a barely perceptible nod.
"Do you know everything we can do using KI?"
"Of course, KI can be used to reinforce our body, fly and blast our enemy from a range" Vegeta answered with a snort.
"Well, that's the most basic application true, but we can also use a KI technique to coat our body with a KI energy to protect us from an outside force, like so" I explain to him while showing a visible KI barrier on my palm by making it thicker.
"I see..." he responded with a narrowed eye.
"There is also another application that I want to show you. Now try to attack me, I will not use any KI barrier, don't use any KI blast okay?" I say to him while closing my eyes, arm still crossed in front of my chest.
I focus my KI sense on my surrounding area, which makes any KI user more perceptible to my KI sense. Vegeta launches a series of kicks and punches, which I easily dodge by a hair's breadth. He suddenly stops his combo and makes a distance once more.
"You...see my attack by sensing my KI aren't you...?" he finally says, which makes me open my eye once more.
"Very perceptive Vegeta. I call this technique KI Sensing, very unoriginal I know, but hey, simple is the best" I say with a grin.
"With this technique, we can even determine an estimate of someone's power. Although it's not as accurate as a scouter, this method can counter something that can fool a scouter" I continue my explanation, while walking to a nearby table where we put our scouter.
I pick up Vegeta's scouter and hand it to him.
"Try to check my power level now Vegeta," I said while suppressing my KI.
"Th-this...?!" Vegeta says in an incredulous tone.
"Quick...I can't hold this technique for long, how much is my power level currently?" I ask with a grimace. I'm not used to suppressing my KI this much.
"I-It's...3232. What sorcery is this!?"
"Heh, it's no sorcery, it's a KI technique. I called it KI suppression" I explain while releasing my KI to a normal suppression.
"Y-your power level is through the roof, are you still suppressing your KI?!" Vegeta asked with an indignant tone.
"I sure am, no need to show all your abilities in a spar right?" I explain, trying, and probably failing, to soothe his ego.
"Fight me with all your power Broly!" Vegeta command with a snarl.
"Well, I don't mind using my full power, but at this moment, It's not going to be beneficial for us. How about we make a deal? After you learn all the three KI techniques I showed you, I will fight you using all my power"
"Deal!" he suddenly took a 180 and let out a childish voice.
'Heh, a Saiyan kid is still a kid' I thought while extending my fist towards Vegeta.
He doesn't seem to understand the gesture, so I explain to him that bumping a fist is a way to seal the deal between men. He returns the gesture, signifying our rivalry.
