Those words coming from Sil's mouth sunk Dezhong's heart as he feared the worst to follow, and it did. With a heavy look on his face, Sil continued speaking saying,
"We have reason to believe that the mysterious hooded figure Jin Peng was with could have absorbed your Conjured Shadow's essence."
While the rest at the table didn't quite understand what was being spoken about, Dezhong and Dark Prince grew weary and it showed. Their eyes widened in shock and disbelief as thoughts started to flood their minds.
If the enemy absorbed General's essence, it meant they'd become a Shadow Being just like Dezhong. And if that happened, then they'd easily step into the Shadow Realm. And if that happened, they'd begin the hunt for the Mistress of Darkness, Eva.
"Are you certain?" Dezhong asked, hoping to hear something else instead of what he feared. "Do you have concrete proof? Did you see this with your own eyes?"
