The giant ramp leading in and out of The Under City was dropped as the Gorillas and a couple of other vehicles hovered out. The bright sun shining from a distance struck everyone's eyes, reminding them of how long they had spent in there. As they flew past Hallow's Point, each one noticed the massive changes and activity going on in the area.
For starters, industrial road cleaners were on each street, washing the city's filthy, dirty roads. Most of those who grew up in Desper hadn't seen asphalt in a while, especially those in the market areas. Above them were cranes and hover boards with people hanging signs from one side of the street to the other.
The signs had words of encouragement and praise for the mutants of Desper and Neveah. Although not everyone in Desper agreed or felt comfortable with this, none of them could utter a word about it, for if they did, it could land them into some minor jail time.
