Lucy Ansley tugged at the man's shirt at his elbow, pouting, "I didn't lose contact on purpose. Benham Hill really has no signal, you'll see when you go tomorrow."
Henry Ronan chuckled, teasing in a low voice, "So you've already decided to let me tag along?"
Lucy Ansley nodded toward Thomas Chapman, who was driving, "If you're not free, Thomas can take me, and he can tell you if there's signal when he gets back."
By this point in the conversation, Lucy Ansley could clearly hear the indulgence and humor in Henry Ronan's tone.
He said it on purpose, obviously teasing her.
Lucy Ansley even thought that even if she didn't extend the invitation, he'd definitely join her tomorrow.
Thinking about Benham Hill stirred slight ripples in her calm emotion.
