Leila Bennett found it hard to believe but couldn't figure out why.
After a brief look of mutual understanding, Leila didn't press further and sighed with relief, "It seems the therapy is starting to take effect, you're even going out for some fresh air by yourself, that's a good sign."
That afternoon, the two of them strolled around Peach Blossom Edge for a few laps, bought some local specialties, and unable to resist Lucy Ansley's insistence, Leila had to take her to the airport by evening.
"Sweetheart, next time make sure your puppy is taken care of before you leave, got it!"
Lucy agreed, waving as she walked into the waiting area.
Leila watched her back, feeling something was amiss.
It wasn't until she returned to the hotel and took off her coat that a ten-thousand-dollar cash check unexpectedly fell out of her pocket.
Leila paused for a moment, picked up the check, and saw the expiration date for withdrawal was just the next day.
