Chapter 27 - Chapter 26: Be G.e.n.t.l.e

"Aww, they're so cute," Akel said after listening to Cheyenne's report on Susan and the rest.

Holding her chin as she pondered, her signature smile widened as she said, "Ah, January don't blame me. You became weak, but you did bring us here. If I hadn't acted that way you would be prancing around with those earthlings."

Looking at Cheyenne she said, "Thank you for awakening me, but can you stop appearing as a black figure? If I hadn't weakened January back then, you would have not been able to touch my head."

Cheyenne calmly knelt as she listened to Akel's rant. Sighing, Akel muttered boring under her breath.

"Where is that Commander? I haven't seen him for a while." Moving on, Akel asked.

"He is currently in the basement of this facility. There seems to be an intruder in here."

"Hmm, well as long as things go according to plan-" Before Akel could continue, she groaned in pain and held her head. Her golden pupils flashed to a purple colour for a quick second.

"Oh relax, you'll get yours soon enough." She mumbled to herself as she rubbed her aching head.

"At least be gentle, January only got mild headaches because I was g.e.n.t.l.e."

Looking at Akel who seemed to be talking to herself, Cheyenne remained calm. She acted as if this was the most normal thing. After the pounding headaches settled, Akel said, "In case of any unforeseen circumstances, use the lagmiran altsina."

"Yes, Your Majesty,"

"I'm bored, I wonder what Li Han's doing?" holding her chin she asked. "Well, I'll find out myself," her smile widened even more as she left the room. Cheyenne's body quivered upon seeing that smile, then quietly disappeared into the shadows.

***Hidden Base, underground***

The basement was not an actual basement. The basement was as big as two football fields, this was where the real experiments, training as well as real information were held. On the south side of the basement were cells. They were capable of holding 5000 people.

"Argh!" Loud screaming echoed in one of the cells. A man covered in burns, scars and blood was held by four chains, each on his limbs. A handsome man watched on indifferently as two soldiers used red burning metal rods on the bleeding man's back.

New rounds of screaming began. After watching for three minutes, the handsome man asked with his deep calming voice, "Are you ready to confess?"

The bleeding man aggressively replied, "Never!" loud rattling from the chains rang out in the cell. Due to one of the soldiers holding his head down, he could not see the handsome man.

The handsome man signalled the soldier to let go of the bleeding man's head.

"It would be in your favour if you just confessed," The handsome man said. Looking up the bleeding man just spat at him in retaliation.

Frowning, he walked towards a wooden table filled with different tools. Taking a pair of black leather gloves, he took a scalpel and ordered the soldier to step out. Bowing the two soldiers left the cell.

Looking at the bleeding man, viciousness flashed past his eyes. "That was your last chance, you should have just cooperated."

Screams that could even scare ghouls, rang out of the cell. The screaming voice was full of terror. The neighbouring cells were silent, all the prisoners in the cells had long become numb.
